Bhimad is situated 7 km far away from the Prithivi highway and 34 km far way from the beautiful city Pokhara.It is small place with a lot of natural scenery and beauty. It also got the historical story about the naming. The single name Bhimad didn't have any meaning but the story of naming is very interesting.
It is said that the god Bhim had made "BHAD" in the mid of seti river and now also we can see that piece of wood in the middle of the seti river, actually there was two piece of wood before two years. But a dangerous flood came on that year and one piece of wood was flown with that flood. On that year a big disaster also took place. Due to Bhim had made "BHAD" in that Seti River, the name of this beautiful place was kept "BHIM-BHAD" and now it is called "BHIMAD".
It is far away from the highway so it is lacking a little behind in the field of new technology and development. Although the black-topped road had not completely reached, it is in high position in the field of business on the district. The business field had spread widely in this area. About 5-6 years ago the goods were supplied by "Moul" to the different place from this place. But now due to the development in the field of transportation all "moul" were replaced by vehicles.
To reach in the beautiful BhImAd we have to cross two rivers. One dovan & other Seti river. The Dovan River had got pitched bridge and Seti River had got historical bridge. Along the seti river bridge there is another bridge (jalunge pull) which was built 150 years ago. The 'jalunge' pull is made of chain of iron which was extracted from the local source of iron. But now due to people negligence the historical bridge had came in the risk "how about saving our historical bridge".
In the middle of bazaar there is a big hill where we can found temples of different god and goddess. From that hill we can view all beautiful scenery of BhImAd. About 4 km north from BhImAd we can found the most mysterious and interesting "Cave" named Shidda gufa, it is said that its story is related with the history of bhim and the bhad.Going inside the cave we can found many amazing fact over there. It was said that the cave got 7 steps but now we can go only up to 3 steps. Just 5 minutes away from Shidda gufa there is one another cave named "chamero gufa" where we can found a lot of bats...........................................

As it is located in the center of many hills. It is the main point for many different village. Peoples from many place like Rangrung, Rising, Giring, Patan, etc came to buy goods. Although it has not got big market we can found daily necessary goods.
